I just saw a class five that i cleaned last year that was a five then as well. so he was super fast and easy. Its nice to have him come because he is very reliable and on top of things. He has to premedicate because of renal failure but he remembers every time and makes things pretty easy on us.
The other day I had a middle aged guy who was kind of nice, but thought he knew everthying about everything. He knew about hygiene, history, math, and the things kids learn these days:) It was interesting. He was a class two but didn't take too long it wasn't too tenacious and came off pretty easy. Just a different fella, but he was nice.
The patient I saw today was really nice. Just a class 5 so it wasn't anything too bad. He was a super chatty older guy so it took a little longer because we were talking so much but he obviously wasn't in a hurry and either was I. found 1 small cavity they might fill but other then that it was a pretty good appointment.

4

I got a couple quads of a four today. We numbed her up which seemed weird to not have to say all the hoo haw with every move anymore. Kind of nice though. She was kind of hard because she had some weird anatomy and a strong lower lip and was really sensitive even with anesthetic, but we got her done which completed my quads. yay:)

previous 3

I had a patient come this afternoon that was my first semester class 3. I remember it took me soooo long to get her cleaned and seemed so super hard. Its been one year and she has improved so so much. I was really happy to see she had really listened and followed through with what we had talked about. I really enjoyed this appointment. She is such a sweetheart and had done such a good job at keeping her hygiene up this time.
I saw one of my classmates today since my patient had an infection in his ankle supposedly and couldn't make it. I did the nitrous pe then just did a quick cleaning. There wasn't much there so it was super fast. Not to much to say about it other than it was quick and easy this morning.

1A

Today I had my last 1A I'll probably have at the school. Not that they are difficult but I do hate the part where I have to chart the permanents vs. the primary teeth. But I actually didn't mind it today and felt like it was much faster and easier this time than ever. So that was nice. I guess that's the beauty of almost graduating, I better know at least a little bit whats up. But its nice to see I have improved since we don't see many 1a's its kind of hard to get very used to them or much practice. He's 9 so he was very cooperative too.

family day

my sister came today. Easy 1b. After cleaning a 4 though it seems like you don't do anything. Its kind of hard to switch back like that. I almost felt like it was pointless to have her come she was so clean. But its still a nice change of pace. She brought my nephew with her which was fun. we got a little bit of a stick on a dark spot so that was kind of disappointing news to her but hopefully not too bad.

class 4

Today I had a class 4 patient. I started out with a 1b but luckily another WONDERFUL student traded me because she was done with her 4's. it was nice too because it wasn't just given to me because of the end of the semester. She was definitely a true 4. The only other thing that was hard was her tongue was huge and her mouth was small and she didn't speak any english. Even after i had given her 4 shots she still seemed to have some really sensitive areas. But she was still very nice and I'm so glad to be done with 4's. Two quads left of a 3 and I'm done. YAY!

oh my!

My patient the other day at the VA was very diffferent. He seemed pretty confident in me until he heard the word student. After that, everything hurt oraquicks didn't work, it took too long, and then he tried to tell ME how my angles should be and maybe i'm not angling it right. He told me and was going under his gums and when I said thats part of the job, he didn't want me going very deep. And since he knows all about physics then he tried to tell me about the motions of the ultrasonic and how it moves and maybe thats why it hurt. Much more went on but I don't want to go on and on. But it was fun.

va pt.

I had another patient the other day with 4 teeth and a class 5 at that. Fastest cleaning of my life I loved it!

VA

I had a patient the other day who had maybe 10 teeth in his head but somehow it took FOREVER. No wait... i know why. I waited and waited and waited for checks and reminded a good few times. But that was my bad apparently i'm just slow, it was definetely all my fault!

board exam

Board test day came and I think I've had my patient come in probably 4 or 5 times before for random things. Not once was she even 30 seconds late. Super promt and very reliable, a perfect board patient. The one day thats crucial she was 25 minutes late!!! I was horrified and figured she wasn't coming. Thank goodness I had her come so early, if not i probably would have had a late check in and gotten docked. Time went by pretty fast and there were a couple spots I felt like did not change no matter what I did. From mockboards though she did have some different anatomy so hopefully thats what it is and they realize that. Ya never know though, thats always a worry until we get our dreaded scores back. Other than that I felt pretty optimistic about it. Why not be I guess right? they're over!

boards are over!!! wooooo hooooo

First day back to clinic after the death and hell tests and I had no morning patient, nor an afternoon. What a loser, I know. I was supposed to have a class 3 but they never showed up. The upside, is I didn't have to worry about frantically studying as much as possible in my down time. I just took lots of x rays for midtown which was great since that's what I'm lacking. all in all my day was super mellow but I got done with what i needed to. The stress is over its so great!
